A Legacy of Faith
Our story began in 1870, when a faithful group of African American Christians gathered to establish a spiritual community in the Browns Hill area. Through prayer, sacrifice, and perseverance, those early believers laid a foundation that has served generations.
For more than 150 years, Brown Hill has been a place of worship, Christian education, fellowship, and community connection. Their legacy continues through our commitment to proclaiming the Gospel and serving others.
Explore Our HistoryFaith That Shapes Our Lives
As part of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, our faith is rooted in the Holy Bible and the Wesleyan-Methodist tradition. We proclaim salvation through Jesus Christ and encourage lives shaped by prayer, holiness, compassion, and service.
We believe spiritual growth extends beyond Sunday worship. It shapes how we care for our families, treat our neighbors, and respond to the needs around us.
